SB 357 -- VENUE IN ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

SPONSOR:  Shields (Byrd)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Judiciary by a vote of 18 to 0.

This bill establishes venue for administrative actions involving
real property in the circuit court of the county where the real
property is located.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that in administrative cases
involving real property, it makes more sense to set venue in the
county where the real property is located.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Shields.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
